Presentation Mode

Presentation mode turns any page into slides, so you can present it straight from Docmost.

Starting a Presentation

  1. Open the page you want to present.
  2. Open the page menu (...) at the top right.
  3. Click Presentation mode.

The page title is your first slide. Presentation mode isn't available for bases.

Creating Slides

Docmost splits your page into slides for you. A new slide starts at every Heading 1 and at every divider. To add a divider, type /divider or --- on a new line.

If a slide has more content than fits on the screen, the rest continues on the next slide. Long tables and code blocks get a slide of their own, and you can scroll through them. Empty lines are skipped.

Moving Between Slides

  • Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen, or the arrow keys on your keyboard.
  • Space and Page Down also go to the next slide, so presentation clickers work too. On a long slide, they scroll down first.
  • Clicking a slide doesn't change slides, so you can click links, open toggles and select text.

Laser Pointer

Click the laser pointer button next to the arrows to swap your cursor for a soft blue dot. It helps people watching your screen share see what you're pointing at. Click the button again to turn it off.

Fullscreen

Click the fullscreen button next to the arrows to fill your screen. Press Esc to leave fullscreen.

Exiting

Click the X at the top right or press Esc.

The presentation shows the page as it was when you started it. If someone edits the page while you're presenting, you'll see the changes the next time you open presentation mode.
